Hairstyles That Survive a 12-Hour Wedding Days
By Ananya Reddy

A gorgeous hairstyle means nothing if it doesn't survive the reception dance floor. Here's our team's approach to all-day hold.
Start with clean, day-old hair: Freshly washed hair is often too slippery to hold curls or braids well. Day-old hair with a little natural texture gives pins and product something to grip.
Layer your products: A heat protectant, a texturizing spray, and a strong-hold hairspray applied in stages — not all at once — builds a style that flexes without falling apart.
Pin like a pro: Criss-cross bobby pins for real hold, and always pin against the direction of pull, especially around the crown and nape.
Plan for humidity and weather: Outdoor ceremonies need extra anti-frizz serum and a stronger-hold spray than an indoor reception.
Do a trial run: We always recommend a trial style at least two weeks before the wedding — ideally on a day you'll be active, so we can see exactly how it holds up.
Touch-up kit: We send brides home with bobby pins and a travel-size hairspray for quick touch-ups between the ceremony and reception.
